Sometimes compared to 2005 or the massive 1990, 2015 is among the truly extraordinary vintages of Burgundy. Indeed, the late Michel Lafarge, one of the Côte d’Or’s most respected winemakers looks even further, remembering 1929 which he tasted as a young man in his family’s cellars. No other vintage in the past 60 years, he would reflect, is really comparable.
