Each year, wine growers need to reflect on what Mother Nature has given them. The rain and sunshine, the frost and hail are the colors they will have to use to paint the most harmonious picture of their terroir. Judging a vintage in just a few words seems too restrictive. The identity of each year being defined by so many natural and human factors, it makes it a complex but enlightening experience to compare vintages, especially two consecutive years as bottle age has little impact.

2009 and 2010 certainly did not have much in common and picking a favorite may not be as easy as one thinks.
