Gevrey-Chambertin, the mythical village of the northern Côte de Nuits, has been home to exquisite vineyards since Roman times. This is where Pinot Noir finds its most brooding and powerful voice in all Burgundy. The intricate topography around the village offers a deeply educational study of the appellation so we have chosen different angles for this Apéro. First, we will explore verticals of vintages to showcase the impact of the year on a given vineyard, tended by the same producer. We will also taste a few superb examples of wines made around the famous Combe de Lavaux, including the one and only "Clos-Saint-Jacques". And finally, we will delight the attendees with three Grand Cru bottlings from top producers.
