Sommeliers often get asked when the perfect time to open a particular bottle of wine is. As we know, wine evolves and may even age gracefully, depending on many factors. The way we humans age is in fact quite similar to the evolution of a bottle of wine through time.
This Pressoir.wine session will focus on wines with a decade of bottle age, all from the 2012 vintage. We have selected fine wines from various regions to highlight how the aging process affects a given grape variety or a given wine type, from Chardonnay on Kimmeridgian marls to Viognier on granite.
And look forward to a surprise treat, served blind at the end…
